Chloe is a qualified Sports Massage Therapist from the United Kingdom, with specialist training for Pregnancy Massage and Equine Sports Massage. During Chloe’s therapy career, she has been part of a support team for a British Champion Finalist Female Bodybuilder, worked with the local male and female rugby teams, and been part of a training programme for an Olympic Gold Medal horse.
Chloe first discovered Sports Massage whilst studying for her degree abroad in the USA. She has since found a passion for promoting the therapeutic and clinical benefits of Sports Massage. With her thirst for knowledge and interest in anatomy, Chloe likes to stay current with the latest research and techniques in order to give her patients the best support possible.
This is Chloe’s first season in Japan. She is hoping that she will pick up snowboarding reasonably well after already being a surfer and skateboarder from her time in Australia. She welcomes any advice!

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
I like to work holistically within my practice, as I feel this gives my patients the best support. This is made possible by my ability to listen and understand the patients specific needs and wants from massage treatments. I always strive to develop my knowledge and skills in order to give my patients the most efficient and effective treatment.

Favourite Conditions to Treat:
On the whole, I enjoy treating pelvic and lower back dysfunctions such as sciatica the most.
Equally, I do enjoy seeing the instant relief from a decent upper back session and hearing about the improved performance after a good leg massage!

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
In my free time, you can find me on a mountain or dangling off one. I am also equally happy on a horse or dangling off one. During the many beautiful sunny days that we have in the UK, I like to relax on a nearby lake on my paddleboard.

What would be your personal motto?
Age is nothing at all, unless you are a cheese.

Who is someone you admire and why?
Ursula Martin, Author. A lady who took nearly 3 years to walk around Europe after surviving cancer. A reminder that life is unpredictable and we should have as many adventures as possible!

Your most-outstanding achievement:
Travelling to different countries and experiencing different cultures. In every country, I make it a habit to do something that gets my adrenaline going!
