Hamish is a registered physiotherapist from Adelaide, Australia. Graduating from the University of South Australia in 2019, Hamish has worked rurally and in the city across varying locations. With a background in both private clinics and hospital settings, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his practice having worked with post trauma, orthopaedic and sporting populations. After rehabilitating from two broken ankles, Hamish has valuable insight into the rehabilitation process and the challenges and rewards that come with it. With the last three years spent living and working in Perth, Hamish is excited to swap out the sun for the snow in Japan.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
Having worked in diverse settings across musculoskeletal, acute care and most recently the emergency department, I bring a variety of knowledge in all types of conditions and injuries. I’m passionate about patient centred care and work enthusiastically with my patients to help them achieve their goals.
Favourite Conditions to Treat:
Ankle and knee injuries – from personal experience managing ankle rehabilitation and working with surgical and non-surgical ACL patients, I’ve taken a keen interest in injuries of the lower limb.
Vestibular disorders.
What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
Anything outdoors – running, ocean swimming or playing tennis during the week. On the weekends – surf trips, camping or heading to live music shows.

Who is someone you admire and why?
Rodger Federer – growing up playing tennis and other sports, Rodger has exemplified to me what dedication and hard work can achieve. More so than his tennis ability, I admire his humbleness and humility.

Reaching the 6080m peak of a mountain in Bolivia.
